May We Bring Peace

I have a special home on the net. It is a usenet support group for depression. There we talk of beasts that lie and attack without warning. We talk of the place in our minds that are dark and evil and home to these beasts. We talk of fighting back and banding together. It was from this talk that May We Bring Peace was born, and it is to that specail band of freedom fighters that it is dedicated.

May We Bring Peace

Death to the beast that would lay cold the embers of the nitetime fire
Rally round the injured; build for the dead a most grand pyre.
Build high that blaze to turn to day the darkest night
and chase away the denziens that cause our deepest fright.

Stoke well the fires that hearts may find safety and be warm.
Build high the walls protecting all those gathered from the storm
And storms of hell descend with us standing back to back.
And we look within our hearts and find there's nothing that we lack.

And so lift high the moonbeams that they may ever light the night.
And let us collect the sundrops that flow in rivers ever bright.
May we bring peace to the stranger that enters our abode.
And may we bring hope to the family that gathers in the cold.
